Higashi-Shinjuku

Higashi Shinjuku Station is located in East Shinjuku to the east of Shinjuku Station on the Toei Oedo Line of the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. Like other stations on the Toei Oedo Line, Higashi Shinjuku Station has one platform running between the two trains.

Higashi Shinjuku, or East Shinjuku, is one of the largest shopping and entertainment districts of Tokyo. It is said that there is more neon in this part of Shinjuku than any other area in Tokyo or Japan. This shopping district has shops of all kinds and sizes, including several department stores. The best known department store of the area is Isetan.

Isetan Department Store

Isetan is one of the most famous department stores in Tokyo. With a large variety of fine quality goods, Isetan is well worth a visit. Like in most other department stores of Tokyo, the basement is the food department.
