Temple University – Graduate College of Education

 

Situated 7 minutes from Shirokane-Takanawa Station is Temple University's Graduate College of Education. Temple University is a State of Pennsylvania (U.S.A.) public university. It is one of the largest American centers for professional education and has approximately 10,000 students enrolled in graduate or professional degree programs. Temple University opened its first center in Japan when it started its Master of Education (currently Master of Science in Education) in English Education with a concentration in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 1982. It later added Doctor of Education degree to its courses. As the first foreign university and the largest American University in Japan, Temple University, Japan Campus, or TUJ as it is popularly known, is recognized by the Japanese Government and has over 3,000 students.
