Ginza – itchome

Ginza-itchome Station is located on the Yurakucho Subway Line in the Chuo Ward of Tokyo. The station is situated a short distance from the main Ginza Station in the commercial district of Ginza.

Ginza is the most upmarket and fashionable shopping district of Tokyo. Ginza features several department stores, boutiques and restaurants on the main streets; and art galleries, night-clubs and cafes on the many side streets. The best time to visit Ginza is on weekends when the main Ginza Street is closed to traffic and becomes a pedestrian zone.

The most well-known store closest to Ginza-itchome Station is the Antique Mall Ginza .  Located just 2 minutes walk from Ginza-itchome Station, Antique Mall Ginza is the biggest antiques shopping mall in Asia. The mall spans ten floors and has about 300 shops arranged specialty floor-wise. For example there is a furniture floor, a Japanese curios floor, a Western curios floor, a fabric floor and so on. One can spend hours on the different floors browsing the many things available – including jewelry, porcelain, pottery, glassware, dolls, and much more. There is also an auction and an event floor, besides convenient cafes and bars. This unique Mall is almost always crowded with people who come here to buy something different, or just to browse through and admire the many things available.
