Tokyo-Tokyo.com was developed as it was discovered that none of the other Tokyo travel websites gave a true depiction of hotel locations in relation to Tokyo landmarks. For example, the Tokyo International Airport is in Tokyo, but no one tells you that even though the airport is approximately 40 miles from the City Center, it can take up to two hours to commute, and if you take public transportation it will cost a minimum of $15.00 one-way by train with non-reserved seats, approximately  $28 by train or airport shuttle bus with reserved seating, or approximately $100 by taxi depending on distance and traffic conditions at the time.   As I have lived and worked in Tokyo for the past 15 years and have on numerous occasions traveled in and out of Tokyo, I feel I am the only qualified foreigner to put out information that will be accurate and beneficial to the Tokyo traveler. I, therefore, made up my mind to develop a website that will tell you all the do's and don'ts, and also provide lots of information to the first time traveler to Tokyo to ensure that travel to Tokyo is enjoyable and as painless as possible.
