Hatchobori

Hatchobori Station is a station in the Hatchobori district of Chuo Ward of Tokyo. It is served by the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and the JR Keiyo Line.

Hatchobori is the area of Chuo Ward where Sumida River runs through to Tokyo Bay. During the Edo period, tradesmen – dealing in fish, lumber, and other commodities – lived in this area, and this has given it a distinct culture of its own, which can be felt and seen on visiting it.
