Nishi-Shinjuku-Gochome
Nishi
Shinjuku Gochome Station
is located in the skyscraper district
of Nishi-Shinjuku in the Shinjuku
Ward of Tokyo. The station lies
on the Toei Oedo Line of Tokyo Metropolitan
Bureau of Transportation.
Nishi Shinjuku Gochome Station is
a small station with one platform
that runs between two trains. There
is an elevator near the fifth car
and two staircases and escalators
at cars 2 and 7. The station has
two exits; one at the south end,
and the other at the north.
Nishi-Shinjuku Gochome
is the residential area of Nishi-shinjuku.
The station was built for the residents
of the area and to provide access
to the Toho private schools. Toho
has many schools within walking
distance of the station, which is
at the heart of Nishi-Shinjuku's
residential high rise area.
There is also a small a small commercial
center in Nishi Shinjuku Gochome,
with convenience stores and small
restaurants for the local residents.
Shinjuku Central Park is located
a short walk east of the station.
