Sengoku

Sengoku Station is located on the Toei Mita Line in the Sengoku area of Bunkyo Ward of Tokyo.

Sengoku is one of the older neighborhoods of Tokyo with much of the Edo charm still intact. Sengoku, meaning “warring states” in Japanese, takes its name from the Sengoku Period of Japanese history. This period, which spans from the middle 15 th century to the early 17 th century, was a time of constant civil wars and social upheaval.
