Otsuka
Park
Otsuka
Park is a beautiful park - a unique
blend of both the western and Japanese
styles. Built in 1928 on the grounds
of what was once a daimyo residential
site, the park also doubles as a
community center. Upon entering
Otsuka Park through an arched gateway,
one comes across a semi-circular
area with stone benches, shaded
by a wooden lattice. There are walkways
on both sides of this section, lined
with trees and plants. In the center
of the park, there is a beautiful
fountain and an open concrete space
for children to play. There are
also swings and a sand-box for younger
children. The park is very popular
among the local residents, who come
here to walk and relax.
