located in the Shinozaki district
of Edogawa ward of Tokyo. It is
served by the Toei Shinjuku Line.
Shinozaki
is a quiet residential area of Edogawa
in the far eastern end of Tokyo,
bordering Chiba Prefecture. Narita

Park.
Shinozaki
Park
Shinozaki
Park is a large park covering an
area of 160,000 m? along the Edogawa
River bordering Chiba Prefecture
in the east of Tokyo. It is an extremely
popular park among the local residents
as there is very little greenery
in this part of Tokyo. Shinozaki
Park has a beautiful Japanese garden,
rolling grassy hills, a BBQ area,
and various sports facilities –
like tennis courts, baseball fields,
and various other athletic fields.
The
Edogawa Ward Fireworks are
also displayed here along the river
during the summer month of August.
Approximately 14,000 fireworks are
displayed to different themes of
music during this time.
Shinozaki
Park is also the venue of Edogawa
Kumin Matsuri , or the
Edogawa Ward Festival .
This Festival is held every October
and features dance and music performances
besides mimicry and magic shows.
Stalls are put up throughout the
park selling food and various crafts.
Both
the Fireworks Display and the Festival
are extremely popular events and attract
large crowds of people.
