Yoga
Yoga Station is a railway station located on the Yokyu Den-en-toshi Line in the Yoga district of Setagaya Ward in Tokyo. The station has two side platforms.
Yoga is a neighborhood in Setagaya Ward known for its greenery and beauty. It is also known for its educational institutions as some of the best schools of Tokyo are located in the area. Although Yoga is mainly a residential neighborhood, several major companies also have their offices here - among them Sun Microsystems, 3M, Caterpillar, and Kyocera. Most of the offices and commercial facilities are located in the area surrounding the station. Also close to the station is the famous park, Kinuta Park.
Kinuta Park
Kinuta Park is one of the best known parks of Tokyo. Opened in 1957 on the site of a golf course, this large park covers an area of 391,262.26 m², 240,000 of which is grass. The park is also famous for hanami, or cherry blossom viewing in spring. This season lasts longer at Kinuta Park as there are three varieties of cherry blossoms – Someyoshino, Yamazakura, and Yaezakura – all blossoming one after the other. Kinuta Park also has several baseball and soccer fields, a 1667 m long cycling course, an athletic area, a camping area, and a bird sanctuary. A museum is located within the park.
Setagaya Art Museum
Setagaya Art Museum is located within Kinuta Park. Opened in 1986, it is one of the finest art museums of Tokyo. It exhibits various art pieces from all over the world, ranging from prehistoric to contemporary times. Besides collecting and exhibiting art, the museum also conducts art research and holds workshops for art enthusiasts.
