Welcome
to Tokyo-Tokyo.com Train Guide.
The Tokyo train service is punctual,
fast and efficient. The major Tokyo
train operator, JR (Japan Railways),
operates five major lines –
Yamanote, Keihin-Tohoku, Chuo-Sobu,
Chuo (Rapid), Saikyo-Rinkaj, and
Shinkansen Lines. The other train
lines are owned and operated by
private companies. These include
Tokyu, Tobu, Seibu, Keio, Odakyu,
Keisei, Keikyu, and Tsukuba Railway
Lines. Most of these train lines
connect not only the major areas
of Tokyo, but also Tokyo with the
metropolis' outer regions and surrounding
prefectures.
